Sweet Touch of a Woman

Midnight Choices.  Baggage from the road.

Flesh cut for tokens.  Payin’ as we go.

Trade the reason for the pistol.

Trade the pistol for the land.

I need the sweet scent of a woman on my hands.

Oh how I need the sweet scent of a woman on my hands.

I heard the cursin’.  I watched the bodies fall.

I called the preacher.  I called the union hall.

Trace the reason. Trace the pistol.

Nail the bastards to the beams.

I need the sweet sound of a woman in my dreams.

Only the sweet sound of a woman can fill my dreams.

Oh, rescue me. Eyes close.

See the deed. Thick and sweet.

Draw the poison from my soul.

Touch the darkness.  Tear the curtain down.

Taste the river.  Suckle on the hallowed ground.

Shame the reason. Shame the pistol.

Shame the fool I used to be.

I need the sweet touch of a woman next to me.

Oh how I need the sweet touch of that woman lyin’ next to me.

Oh. Rescue me. Eyes Close. Oh.
